iweb++

Do you want to add comments to your iWeb site but without the necessary .Mac fees? iWeb++ allows you to easily add comments, html parts like adsense, flash animations and such to your website, and its free !

Currently implemented features:

- add Comments to your site
- replace html bits like adsense, youtube, flash
- replace slideshow assets

How does it work ? (Comments)

- if you want to use comments, then first sign up for a free haloscan account on http://www.haloscan.com
- add your comments like the screenshot below in iWeb and use the tool to replace the tags with the acutal code needed.

How does it work ? (Adsense,YouTube,…)

- if you want to use html replacements, then go to your adsense page, copy the code required on the site and paste it in a .txt file in your templates folder, adsense.txt for instance. After you’ve done this look at the screenshot above for how to add the tags.

Now let iWeb++ parse it and your done !

    Thanks! I have this as part of a post-publish applescript and have a few requests/suggestions:
    1) Make Applescriptable or applescript friendly (no confirmation dialog after finished)
    2) If you keep the dialog box, it should read “iWeb++ is finished processing your iWeb site”
    Like I said though, a “complete” text on the main app window is better than an additional dialog box to have to close.
    3) Make “Quit app after processing iWeb site” an option
